Homeowners

At Keyhouse we believe in keeping people in their own homes whenever possible, so we’re committed to helping homeowners who face the threat of repossession. Our experienced advisors can provide specialist help with things like debt management and mortgage re-negotiation or, if they can’t help you themselves, they’ll point you in the direction of people who can.

Support provided

We offer all kinds of support and advice to homeowners, so it’s always worth contacting us to find out if we can help.  Typically, we provide help with:

  • Guidance and support to sustain the person’s or family’s home
  • Guidance to access mortgage re-negotiation
  • Access to debt management advice
  • Developing life-skills to help you live in your own home
  • Access to employment, education or training

Floating support

With a total of 25 places in the Calderdale District, we’re able to provide support wherever the person needing it is already living.

Referral criteria

Our only referral criteria is that the person or family must need support to help prevent the loss of their home through repossession.

Referral methods

Referrals for this service should come through an agency in Calderdale such as Doorways, CAB, Housing Options, Sure Start, Family First or through a debt advice agency. Please call us on 01274 738954 for more information.

Appeals

Our appeals process means there’s always a second chance if you think our decision has been unfair.

Additional information

We’re always looking for ways to improve the services we offer to homeowners, so we invite service users to take part in optional meetings and surveys to tell us what they really think about the way we do things.

25 years of support

Twenty-five years since that first Keighley hostel began catering for the region’s homeless, we’re very proud of the successful multi-discipline organisation we’ve become.

How have we done it?
